Privacy Notice Under The Law on the Protection of Personal Data
1. DATA CONTROLLER
This Privacy Notice has been prepared by Burak Mert Çiloğlugil, acting as the Data Controller, in accordance with the Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”).
2. PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED
When you visit our website and use the services we provide, the following personal data may be processed:
- Your email address, solely for the purpose of newsletter subscription.
3. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- Operating and managing the website;
- Responding to user inquiries and requests;
- Conducting communication activities;
- Managing newsletter subscriptions;
- Informing subscribers about new content and announcements;
- Ensuring information security;
- Complying with legal obligations.
4. METHOD OF COLLECTION AND LEGAL BASIS
Your personal data is collected electronically through our website by the following means:
- Creating a newsletter subscription.
Your personal data is processed for the purpose of receiving your subscription request and sending notifications regarding newly published content. Such processing is based on Article 5/2(c) of the KVKK, where processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract, and, where required, on your explicit consent.
5. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data may be transferred to legally authorized public authorities for the fulfillment of legal obligations and to our service providers, limited to the purposes of processing described in this Privacy Notice.
6. RETENTION PERIOD
Your personal data will be processed only for the purposes specified in the section titled “Purposes of Processing Personal Data” and retained in accordance with the retention periods and statutes of limitation prescribed by applicable legislation.
If the applicable legislation is amended regarding data retention periods, the new statutory periods shall apply.
7. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER LAW NO. 6698 (KVKK)
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to apply to the Data Controller and request:
- To learn whether your personal data is being processed;
- To request information regarding the processing of your personal data;
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether your personal data is used in accordance with that purpose;
- To know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred domestically or abroad;
- To request correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal data;
- To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the KVKK;
- To request notification of the correction, deletion, or destruction to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred;
- To object to any outcome that is to your detriment resulting solely from the analysis of your personal data through automated systems;
- To request compensation for damages incurred due to unlawful processing of your personal data.
In accordance with Article 13 of the KVKK and the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for Applications to the Data Controller, you may submit your requests regarding the exercise of these rights:
- in writing;
- via your registered electronic mail (KEP) address;
- using a secure electronic signature or mobile signature;
- from the email address previously notified to and registered by the Data Controller; or
- through any software or application specifically designated for this purpose.
Applications must include the following information:
- Full name and signature (if the application is submitted in writing);
- Turkish ID Number (for Turkish citizens) or nationality, passport number or identification number (for foreign nationals);
- Residential or business address for notification;
- Email address, telephone number, and fax number (if applicable);
- Subject of the request;
- Any supporting documents relevant to the request.
For written applications, the application date shall be the date on which the application is delivered to the Data Controller or its representative. For applications submitted through other methods, the application date shall be the date on which the request reaches the Data Controller.

8. INFORMATION NOTICE UNDER THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)
For data subjects located within the Member States of the European Union, your personal data is processed in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).
Your email address processed as part of your newsletter subscription is used solely for informing you about newly published content on our website and for managing your subscription.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary for the performance of a subscription agreement requested by the data subject.
Where the processing of personal data is not necessary for establishing or performing the subscription relationship, processing will be carried out based on your consent pursuant to
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Your personal data will be retained for as long as your subscription remains active. Upon cancellation of your subscription, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized, subject to any applicable legal retention obligations.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request the erasure of your personal data;
- Request restriction of processing;
- Object to the processing of your personal data;
- Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and request its transmission to another controller (data portability);
- Withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in the European Union Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.
